The Anamalai Tiger Reserve, formerly known as the Anamalai Wildlife Sanctuary, is located in the Anamalai Mountain Ranges in Tamil Nadu, a region of India's Western Ghats. When the Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park was formed in 2007, it was given the designation Anamalai Tiger Reserve.
