Hi, I am a solar panel & battery installer in Perth & Peel area in western australia approved by CEC, NETCC, NECA.
Tips:
- Size your system on your real usage: check 12 months of bills for daily kWh. Most Perth homes suit 6.6 kW to 10 kW.
- Run the dishwasher, washer and pool pump between 10 am and 3 pm. Self-used solar is worth more than feed-in credit.
- North-facing panels give the best all-day output; avoid shade from trees and chimneys.
- Hose panels down gently a few times a year; never use pressure washers.
- Check your inverter app monthly; a sudden drop means shading, dirt or a fault.
- Add a battery if you export a lot by day and use a lot at night.
- Pick Tier 1 panels and a CEC accredited local installer.
