Power Supply needed for connection with Nav-View?

I was wondering if the MTLT305D needs an external power supply if connected with an pc to check the sensor in NAV-View. In the manual on page 8 an "3-wire" conection is mentioned.

Yes, you need to provide an external power (4.9 V – 32 V) , please refer to Table 3 in page 7, thank you!
